Chaplains -N- More

Chaplains-N-More employs five chaplains who minister in over 20 facilities as well as to hospice. They build relationships with the elderly patients and their families and are on hand to assist with those in times of sickness, crisis and bereavement. Our chaplains are able ministers who have much experience as well as a heart to reach out to this area of need. They minister through bible teaching, chapel services incorporating instruments and ministry of songs. Our chaplains also provide grief support counseling, seminars; staff care as well as funerals and weddings.

Evangelism

A strong emphasis is placed on the area of evangelism here at Life Christian Center. We do many community outreaches such as a yearly children’s carnival with rides and games. We also provide a Halloween alternative fun night, and an area wide Easter egg hunt with a grand prize give away. We participate in October fest with a fun booth, face painting, craft and various activities. Don’t be surprised if on a hot July day you see our leadership team passing out water bottles and friendly smiles at busy intersections. We take a team of able ministers every year to a Mardi Gras outreach where they spread the gospel in many different avenues.

Feed the People Ministries

A ministry to the homeless and unfortunate in our city. People bringing hot food and the Gospel to the needy. This ministry goes out on a rotation schedule about every month. This ministry will change your life.

Gospel Jamboree

This is a ministry to those who love Gosple music whether you are a musician or just enjoy listening. Every 2nd Thursday of the month at 7p.m. There will always be great fellowship, food and ministry. For more information please call Dan and Kathy at 525-9186.

Beginning January 16th we will begin a new study of the Gospel of John. Please contact Tamara Short at 816-525-0685 if you have any questions. We will meet Friday mornings at 10 a.m. in the lower level of the church. Childcare is provided so come and enjoy the fellowship as you continue to grow in your relationship with the Lord as well.

Life Groups

Understanding that small groups are essential for discipleship and growth we strongly encourage every family to be involved in a life group. These groups are located in most communities in local areas. Lee’ Summit, Raytown, Blue Springs, Oak Grove, Independence, along with focus groups such as Musicians, Youth, College,Seniors, Young Married’s and many more groups.

Men’s ministry is a growing area here at Life Christian Center. The 3rd Saturday of the month at 8 a.m. the men meet at the Church in the fellowship hall for a special meeting with breakfast and a special speaker and time of ministry. Through out the year there are various special ministry events such as Promise Keepers, Canoe campout, Fall Retreat, Annual Hunters Ball, plus much more!

Missions

At Life Christian Center we have a heart for missions and a desire to reach the lost in every nation. Presently we support seven missionary families around the world. We provide financial as well as prayer and family support on a regular basis. We also send missionary teams from our home church on various short-term missions trips. Most recently we sent a team to Honduras to aid in birthing and building a church as well as establishing an orphanage. We have formed a Missions committee to review all missions’ projects and determine the various needs of all missionaries under our care. We encourage and help those called to the area of missions to plan and prepare and go forth and fulfill the calling of God.

Nursing Home Outreach

All throughout the week at local and distant nursing homes we have different ones ministering in word, prayer and song. We are blessed to have a church with a heart for the elderly. During special occasions and holidays we do special outreaches and programs for those confined to a nursing home. We have a handicap accessible van that can be used on Sunday mornings for transporting those able to attend our services.

Prayer and Fasting

This ministry is designed for those who want to answer the call to stand in the gap and make up the wall of righteousness for our church and community. This ministry meets on a weekly basis at the Church, Mondays at 7 pm and Tuesday thru Friday at 6 - 7 am. There are also other facets of this minstry such as seasons of scheduled continuous prayer and fasting and also we meet once a month on a Friday evening at 7 pm for a time of Breakthrough Intercessory Prayer.

Senior Saints

The Senior Saints meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month for lunch and a time of fellowship. There is transportation for those in need. Through out the year the Senior Saints take short trips and scenic drives such as looking at Christmas lights. For more information please call Tom and Pat Wiley 525-5089 or the church office.

Van Ministry

On Sunday Morning our dedicated drivers warm the two vans up and go and pick up those that are in need of a ride. Whether you are in a wheel chair or just need a loving lift, call the church and our drivers will make plans to pick you up or call if you want to be a part of the heroic team of drivers. We have a 15 passenger van along with a handicap van.
